Davies, a specialist professional services and technology company, has announced the appointment of James Ferris as CEO of its Captive Management business, effective 1st July 2025.

Davies Based in Bermuda, Ferris succeeds Nick Frost, who will assume the role of Chairman after serving as Captive Management CEO for 14 years.

Ferris brings more than 25 years of insurance industry experience. He joins Davies from BMS, where he was CEO of Capital & Risk Advisory in Bermuda, working with a global team to deliver capital solutions to re/insurance clients.

Prior to that, Ferris spent over two decades at PwC, serving as lead Partner of the advisory team in Bermuda.

Earlier in his career, Ferris held various roles at Principle Insurance Holdings Limited, including managing the finance function, implementing IT solutions, supporting the development of the Takaful offering, participating in Board meetings, and assisting with the FSA application process.

This new leadership structure further positions Davies’ captive management business to expand into new global domiciles, responding to growing client demand for broader international support.
